Goldfinch Health Selected to Advance in Innovation Program

Canada-based Creative Destruction Lab providing mentoring and support to enhance commercialization efforts for US-based surgery and recovery leader

January 27, 2021 – On the heals of its selection as a pitch contest winner at the Calgary-based 2020 Inventures, Goldfinch Health has announced participation in another Canadian program designed to drive health innovation and commercialization in North America and beyond. Following a rigorous application process, Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) invited Goldfinch to participate in its widely-recognized program and has now advanced the company through two rounds of mentoring and development efforts.

“We are tremendously grateful for the opportunity to network with and learn from the distinguished leaders and entrepreneurs in the CDL community,” said Brand Newland, PharmD, CEO of Goldfinch Health. “This is a direct hit for us. We’ve been able to immediately translate discussions in our CDL sessions to improving our program, and, as a result, to improving patient outcomes.”

CDL Health, built for founders pursuing commercial opportunities predicated on translational science and technology innovations that improve human health and wellness, helps technical teams bring their health innovations to market by providing access to industry-leading mentors and investors in the life sciences domain.

Example innovation areas for CDL Health include:

  • Biotechnology
  • Bioinformatics
  • Diagnostics tools and platforms
  • Digital Health
  • Medical Devices
  • Precision medicine and pharmacogenomics
  • Therapeutics, biopharmaceuticals, and other drug discovery

There are no fees for participation in the program and CDL does not take any equity in participating companies.
